With over 30 years of experience across the not-for-profit and government sectors, Chris Hurley is currently the Deputy CEO at DARE, where he combines strategic thinking with a strong values-based approach to create lasting, positive change for people with disability.
Chris’s journey with DARE began 27 years ago as a support worker. Since then, he has taken on various leadership roles within the organisation, each shaping the way he leads and the impact he strives to achieve.
He began his career with Aging, Disability and Home Care and holds tertiary qualifications in disability. Chris has also worked overseas in the UK across a range of sectors, gaining a broader perspective and adding depth to his leadership style.
Currently, Chris is studying a Bachelor of Business, majoring in Management, at Western Sydney University. This has allowed him to complement his hands-on experience with fresh thinking around business development, leadership, and sustainable growth.
Passionate about building strong, values-led teams, Chris is dedicated to leading initiatives that improve quality of life and support inclusion. At the heart of it all, he is driven by one goal: achieving outcomes for the people DARE supports.
