Donald Luscombe is a practising Chartered Accountant with over 40 years' experience and operates a private practice from Springwood in the lower Blue Mountains. With a passion for equality and justice for people with a disability, Donald has shown tremendous commitment to DARE, serving as a Board Member since 1992, including  appointments from 1993-1996 and 2008-2014. In addition to his voluntary position with DARE, Donald maintains his role as Director of the Rural Fire Fighters Foundation, is a Founder and Director of the Coffee for Kids Foundation and was recently elected as a Director, and Treasurer, of Biznet Regional Chamber of Commerce.

 

Alan McPherson

Alan has served on the Board of DARE since 1991, including as Deputy Chair for the past 15 years. Alan takes a keen interest in the issues faced by people with a disability, with his eldest son being a supported employee for over 25 years. Alan brings to the position not only his personal experience as a parent of someone living with a disability but expertise in promotions, publicity and finance, having served as Director of Glenbrook Bowling and Recreation Club for 15 years. Alan contributes to a wide range of  programs and activities and is also an active member of the local community.

 

Matthew Bryant

With over 25 years' experience in the information technology field, Matthew has developed innovative business solutions for a wide range of local and international clients including the design of large-scale manufacturing systems. As a Board member of local arts, commerce and sporting groups, Matthew is active in both the Blue Mountains community and business sectors. Matthew with his wife and business partner Lola, have four sons..

 

Ken Wade-Ferrell

Ken Wade-Ferrell

Ken has lived in the Blue Mountains at Winmalee for the past 40 years, is married with three children and seven grandchildren. Ken has worked in the accounting field for most of his career and until recently was the Financial Controller at Windsor Farm Foods. Ken has been an active member of the Winmalee Rural Fire Brigade for the past 36 years and has served the community in various volunteer roles.

 

Jacqueline Brinkman

Jacqueline Brinkman

Jacqueline Brinkman is the Chief Executive Officer for Blue Mountains Economic Enterprise (BMEE), the peak regional economic development organisation in the Blue Mountains. Throughout her career, Jacqueline has harnessed new opportunities for the Marine, Arts, Tourism and Aviation industries. Since moving to the Blue Mountains in August 2011, Jacqueline has worked with Blue Mountains, Lithgow and Oberon Tourism Organisation and Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority.

 

Cheryl Kitto

Cheryl has worked in the recruitment, vocational education and Careers industries throughout Western Sydney and the Blue Mountains. Cheryl is an active Rotarian of 22 years standing and has been honoured with a Paul Harris fellowship. Cheryl is a past president of the Rotary Clubs of Springwood and Granville. Cheryl has been nominated for the Telstra women in business awards on two separate occasions. Cheryl lives in Springwood with her husband Norm.

 

David Rayner

David Rayner

David has worked in the Dairying industry for 43 years. Currently he is working with Parmalat in an advisory/mentoring role for senior managers. his interest in actively supporting organisations who care for groups in our community such as Ronald McDonald House, Riding for the Disabled has directed Davids desire to contribute to DARE and bring to the Board his experience gained from working within a industry which has undertaken major changes over the last four decades.

 

 

Mick Fell

Mick Fell is a Councillor on the Blue Mountains City Council. After a career in the community development field, particularly in local government, Mick retired to an active involvement in his local community. In the course of his career, Mick was involved in the development of a range of services, including services for people with disabilities, community-based housing and facilities management. Mick is currently a director on the boards of the Western Sydney Regional Organisation of Councils (WSROC) and the Western Sydney Local Government Insurance Pool (WestPool).
