How do I get an NDIS plan?
Step 1: A planning meeting* is organised with a Local Area Coordinator (LAC) or NDIS Planner who gathers initial information,
Step 2: This information is collated and compared to the NDIS “Reference packages”,
Step 3: A completed plan is mailed to your registered address.
All supports must be deemed by the NDIS as being “reasonable and necessary”, NDIS also has a responsibility to maintain financial sustainability.
An NDIS plan is built with 8 Domains
- Daily Living,
- Health and Well Being,
- Lifelong Learning
- Social and Community Participation,
- Relationships, and
- Choice and Control
*Whilst NDIS will seek to conduct the planning meeting by telephone each participant has the right to demand a “face to face” meeting.
